The Mural Restaurant is located in the former transformer station of Munich’s public utilities – today home to the MUCA MUNICH – MUSEUM OF URBAN AND CONTEMPORARY ART. In every facet, it embodies the Mural credo:

Mural’s head chef Bastian Falkenroth creates exceptional dishes using carefully selected, seasonal ingredients sourced sustainably from the region. Each composition reflects his cosmopolitan, pleasure-driven style – surprising, refined, and deeply rooted in local food culture.
Whether it’s a well-thought-out lunch dish, a multi-course tasting menu in the evening, or refined snacks in the vinotheque – Mural Restaurant makes gourmet cuisine accessible, relaxed, and full of flavor.
The philosophy of Mural’s kitchen is grounded in the highest product quality and a purist approach: regional ingredients are reduced to their essence to allow their natural flavors to shine.

Our wine cellar focuses on handcrafted, low-intervention wines from exceptional winemakers with whom the Mural team maintains close relationships. With 1,200 carefully curated selections – with a focus on Burgundy and Jura – the Mural wine list is one of the largest and “most stylistically progressive in the city” (Der Feinschmecker).

We are delighted to welcome you to the Mural Restaurant! For lunch and dinner, we highly recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure the best possible dining experience. The Mural Vinothek, on the other hand, offers a relaxed atmosphere and does not require a reservation – simply drop by and enjoy.
